Voice Lessons
Jackie's vocal pedagogy is grounded in the mechanics of the voice — developing chest voice, head voice, and mixed voice through evidence-informed technique while always keeping musicality at the center. Students are encouraged to explore any style that speaks to them, whether jazz, pop, R&B, or classical, building a repertoire that is genuinely their own. A particular emphasis is placed on ear training and listening — the conviction that a singer who truly hears the music will always outperform one who merely reads it.
Piano Lessons
Trained classically from an early age, Jackie brings both rigorous fundamentals and deep jazz fluency to her piano teaching. Students build technical command through scales, arpeggios, and fingering work, while simultaneously developing their ear and their musical instincts. Jazz students receive focused attention on modes, harmony, and improvisation — taught not just as theory but as a living, listening practice. Jackie has a gift for breaking down difficult passages into manageable steps, making the learning process feel rewarding at every stage.
